Man, everyday I drive, people just stare stare stare....to the point where I really feel uncomfortable driving it.

Perhaps its because Im only 21, and alot of people think it a porsche or Bimmer.

Whats really funny is that my mother occasionally forgets that its my car, and whenver I am giving her a lift home, shes always walks right by it. ..I say, where are you going? ..........she says "oh my god, I was just saying to myself, thats a really nice porsche" LOL.

So far, last night I had the worst thing said to me.

I was going through a Tim Hortons drive thru, getting a coffee on the way to the accountant (Canadian tax time) and I'm sitting there waiting for the coffee, and I hear from the window

WOW thats a short knob you have.

I sit there for a second thinking...am I hanging out somewhere and its cold?

I look up and the girl is pointing at the voodoo knob...

I was very relieved...I can't take that kinda trauma before taxes.

please don't say stupid things....

check the honda/acura websites, the only cars that the S2000 beats are;

RSX
CIVIC (all)
INSIGHT
ACCORD (I-4)

every other honda product has more torque than the S2000. do some reasearch before opening your mouth.

hell, even common sense would dictate that 153 ft-lbs can't be the second highest torque rating in honda's stable...

When I got my Celica I had people ask me how I liked my Focus. As for the whole "torque-less" argument. Show me another 2.0L N/A car with 153tq.

So my girlfriend and I pull up to Dunkin Donuts to grab a coffee one morning and this guy pulls up beside us in a Ford "mini-Explorer" (can't remember it's name......like it matters anyway) and starts chatting with me:

Clueless Dude: "Hey, nice toy you got there!"
Me: "Thanks. Its a great car, I love it"
Clueless Dude: "That's one of those new Porsches right?"
Me: "No, actually it's a Honda, a Honda S2000"
Clueless Dude: "A Honda???? Really??? Boy is that nice!"
Me: "Yea, I really enjoy driving it"
Clueless Dude: "So what does that car run? $50-$60 thousand?"
Me: "um..........yea sure that's pretty much what they go for these days."

It is a valid point. People say it's a torque-less car (when comparing it to other cars). Sure it's torque-less compared to a M Roadster or a Boxster, but it's a 2.0L I4. What do you expect?
