I don't think he was trying to insult you. I think he was trying to point out that before his problems, he thought the same way that you did. He *never* imagined 1) that he would have these issues or 2) that Honda wouldn't be there to take care of him.
And loving_my_s2k, dude, use the edit button to update your post instead of posting a slightly different version of the same thing. Thanks.
Good luck everyone who has had problems getting warranty work done. Stuff like this is the reason that I have never, not even once, tried to drop the clutch in my car. If I ever have engine or drivetrain problems, I'll be able to look that service manager in the eye and tell him I have honestly never abused the car.

I own an 02 S2000, a 2001 Honda Shadow and even a Honda self-propelled Lawnmower...Thankfully they've been bullet-proof so far. Sorry about your bad luck with the S...Dakota

The check engine light doesn't always mean that there's someting wrong with the car. If the light comes on about the time a scheduled service is due, it could be simply a signal that you're overdue, or that your tech forgot to reset it at the last service. My S-pecialist told me the car knows when it's due.

I'd put Honda up there among the top five, even though we are occasionally having some problems having some dealers and AHM realize that the F20C can die without owner abuse.
