Ever since I got my S my old car has been sitting in the road. Our insurance company wouldn't stop coverage until the plate was physically turned over to the DMV. So, today I went to the plate office to turn in my plate. While I was there, I asked the lady what it takes to get a personalized plate. She said all you have to do is check on availability of what you want and pay 20 bucks. To my surprise, my first choice was available. I can't believe you North Carolinians haven't snatched this up.
