no spoiler of any kind on this car is necessary, neither in the front, nor in the back. I know this has been discussed before, but I think body mods are for cheap cars, hence the rarity of them on Ferraris and Porsches (at least over here).
Plus if I were a car designer I would be so sad to see people destroy my work with bits of plastic

The spoiler is indeed functional. It functions to extract a few more dollars from your wallet, thus reducing the drag on your butt.

To each his own of course. I originally wanted mine without the front and rear spoiler. Now, I can't imagine mine without them. I think they give the car a more aggressive look. They are add-ons but look subtle enough and blend in well with the lines. However, I don't like the side strakes.

In looking at the pics, it looks like the spoiler fits like crap. I see a HUGE gap... am I imagining that? If there really is a big gap like that, I wouldn't want that on my car..

Hello people,

On most cars spoilers are purely cosmetic. However, according to Honda's own japanese web site, the spoilers on the S2000 ARE functional in terms of performance. They were wind tunnel tested with a 1/4 scale model.
