ok, this might be old news to some (apologies if it is) but I finally found a wired solution for the steering radio controls. was super hesitant before to go for an Alpine HU because I love the steering controls too much but this might be it. My friend from Alpine says it works great on his Toyota so if anyone has had experience with this on their S200x please let us know.

I just didn't like the IR solution that's posted everywhere.

they have solutions for Pioneer, Sony, JVC, and others but it seems the Alpine unit has the most updated firmware.

Um yeah. We sell an Alpine Wired DCI (Dash Control Interface). It's widely acknowledged around here as a better solution than the PAC unit.

We've had a run on Alpine Wireds though since they released the 9857 head unit. Won't be able to ship any until the end of the month or so.

yeah the modifry dci is a much better solution than the pac IMHO...
