I've tried similar mats, and they didn't work well for me: No sides to keep the snow and the melt from sloshing over the sides. And yes, I kick as much snow off my boots as I can before pulling my feet in.. This stuff builds up and is hard to control, especially when you're out doing doughnuts and stuff in the new snow (On purpose of course for those of you who are scared of driving in the winter!!).

Good luck and do report back on how they work.
