Windshield RPL damage... help?
Hey Guys... I just had my windshield replaced and the schmuck that did the job really half-@$$ed it. Now, the trim around the glass was cut short and torn. To add insult to injury, the "tape" (if that's what it is) that covers the windshield surround has a couple of air bubbles showing. Is this just some tape pieces? The glass company is sending a different technician out on Monday to re-install the windshield, and "fix" the tape on the windshield frame. Is this something that can be repaired, or should I make sure that they replace the tape?
Thanks for the help!

If you do a search on "Windshield tape", you will find that many people remove it to change the appearance of their car. The paint underneath is the same color as the rest of your car.
The downside: there's a possibility that it may have some scuffs on the paint underneath. Several owners have found scuffs and had to buff it out. Also, you might have some gummy adhesive left on the windshield frame that will need to be removed with solvent.
