Windshield repair
#5
I just had one fixed on my other car by a windshield glass shop, the warpage appearance disappeared after the repair, you could still see the chip but it was much better after the repair. Cost me $60 and it only took 20 mins to get done, and you get some kind of warranty on it. It's better than the diy kits IMO, and leaving the chip risks it expanding in size over time.

Mobile glass repair places can fix them if they have not spread greater than about 6" long (i.e. the size of a dollar is the comparison they often use). The repair is often able to be done at your work so you dont have to leave, it takes 20-30 mins tops, and it leaves a mark that essentially looks like a water spot. Most places will also guarantee the repair for life so if it starts to re-spread or if the resin fill starts coming out or chips away, they will redo it for free.
Check with your insurance. Many will cover it and waive the deductible so you have no cost out of pocket and your premium will not go up. They (insurance) would rather pay $60 to repair the chip than hundreds to replace the glass (and compromise the seal integrity, etc).
I've had 3 repaired, and just got a 4th not long ago that I still need to call in and get fixed.
