Winding Roads experience
well ...
good ones
- last time i stock up in a winding road with an m5 was so good
- people that are around they scream when i am downshifting to take the turn
- the fresh air and cool climate when you start to ascend
- the 18 wheelers and slow trucks and busses that let you pass with a salute included
- when it comes to make oneway and push full trottle
- when comes your favorite turn of the road
bad ones
- the slow guys who block your pass or when comes a straight line
- when you found a big truck and any straightline in miles only curves and you can pass
- one day i was taking a right turn very fast and this idiot came from the other lane so close to my lane that both cars almost touch by centimeters
- the animals that you found in the middle of the road and suddenly you need to brake
- when you see the 300 feet and the vertigo makes your stomach going
- last time my car got into a turn that was smaller than i was thinking and understeer so much that i almost go straight
- when you want to piss or go to the bathroom and there are no sideways or anyplace to park only curves and more curves

Winding road + tailgaters + S2000 = fun!
Whenever I see people tailgating me (there is this one lane road that I drive on quite often), I would just not brake and turn more aggressively on a winding road. After a few turns, those people generally can't catch up or would give up on tailgating me ...
Sometimes I meet M3s and Porsches ... I wonder if they were looking for a race, or if they are just being jack@$$es and love to tailgate others -- I hate tailgaters ...

tailgaters peev me off!! right up your arse when there is no need for it, either overtake or drop back!!
I used to take my car to this scenic road up in the Oakland Hills on Grizzly Peak Boulevard.... you get the most AMAZINGLY PERFECT view of the Bay that you can possibly have, and it's a narrow, winding road... lots of chicanes, 90 (or even 110!) degree turns, oh, it's beautiful... and since it's way up in the hills and sparsely populated, you very seldom encounter other cars!
I had so many great nights on that road The big kicker was that for a few weeks there was a busted water main that had completely soaked and muddied one of the 90 degree turns toward the end. Scared the hell outta me... everything is going great, and then suddenly, my S2000 is going substantially more sideways than I expected... saved though
My biggest peeve was when I got behind an old pickup or something that was ambling by on that or Route 84... happened too many times... but hey, it's their road too! I'd either wait to try to pass or just roll off the throttle and wait.

Im done having fun on curvy roads. I was with my buddy aaron, he has a stock ap1. I let him lead and we were going through some back roads, I gave him a huge head start and cought up really quick. He didnt realize how fast I caught up when around a blind turn at about 60 and there was an immidiate stop sign. He slammed on his brakes, I went into the other lane, almost lost control and almost ran out into the intersection. Missed his car by about 1 inch. Not worth it anymore.

When one of the other local S owners and I took our favorite 40 mile byway that is full of hairpins and curves and we came up behind a Saturn Sky who proceeded to pull over and let us pass. Once we did, the Sky revved up pretty hard to apparently try and keep up, but we left them in the dust without even breaking the speed limit. The road is quite technical.
