Default wind noise

are the latches on the convertible top adjustable? need more pressure on the seal to cut out wind noise with the top up.

They are not adjustable.
1. You can replace the striker plate (mounted to windshield frame) with the MY02 and up part. It is thicker than the original part and will snug up the top a bit.

2. You can use a small length (maybe 1/2") of flexible airline tubing (for aquariums) applied over the "finger" part of the latch. The extra thickness of the tubing snugs up the top. This is cheaper but you will need to replace the tubing as it wears thru.

Damn. First I hear the hard top needs grease to seal up and not squeak and now the soft top too? Non adjustable latches? And holes wearing through after only 2-3 years use? Man, I thought this was the 21st century. Why the heck can't honda make a decent rag top? The softtop (and hardtop) on my Spyder are flawless in sealing and so far seem to be fine from a wear standpoint. Just what I don't need, another thing to keep me second guessing a swap of cars...

Striker plate?

Does anyone have the old thread, part #, pictures, and/or diagram?

Thank you very much (did a quick search on striker plate btw).

I'll have to look into this.

You can adjust the stops for the soft-top. Both the up and down stops can be moved. It requires removing some panels behind each door, an 11mm crows foot and a lot of patience. Can't remember any more, its been 3 years since I did mine.

I think I would try the 02 latches first. If that doesn't work for you, then look up the TSB that discusses lowering the retracted height of the top. This shows how to get to the stops.
