The new DEI alarms (Viper, Clifford, etc) have auto and manual modes. The manual mode only requires the e-brake and the clutch to be hooked up. The alarm will bypass the clutch and will only remote start if the e-brake is pulled up and if the car is out of gear. You will need the a bypass module bc our cars have an immobilizer.

CompuStar is the only remote start I've had on my manual cars as well. For those who haven't seen it in action, you remove the key and the engine remains running. Then you get out of the car and when you close the driver door, it shuts down the engine.

The point of the process is to ensure you're out of the car, therefore not depressing the clutch while the engines running, so the system knows it's not in gear.
Didn't know CS did it this way! This is definitely a good way to go if you want remote start!
