Will these CF hoods fit the Mugen intake?
at first i thought only mugen and ASM made hoods that will fit the mugen intake but after looking at these 3 real jdm hoods (j's racing, amuse, top secret) it seems as though the "cut" for the intake is already there. Tell me if you guys think the mugen intake will fit.

Plain and simple rule. If it's more then one layer it's not going to fit without a bump. The top of the Mugen intake touches the top of the J's hood because it is 2 layers. That's why you would need to cut the bottom layer just as you would on a stock hood. CF on top of fiberglass shell. I am 90% sure it is the same for the Top Secret. The real Amuse hood is probably different since it weighs next to nothing and might only have one layer of CF. Your question is a little confusing though. If you are asking me why the underside of the hoods look the way they do, the answer is most likely not airflow but probably more with strength (think backbone).

I know for sure the J's and TS hoods wont clear the Mugen intake, not too sure about the anthentic amuse hood...but if dan tells you no, you should take his words for it.
Anthentic amuse dry carbon hood!!
