Hey everyone
I was thinking about this the other day and wanted to hear thoughts from those who are likely going to be keeping your s at least another 5+ years.
As far as maintenance, dependability, etc

Emily, it depends on how much you drive and how well you take care of it. If you put on 12k miles a year it probably won't be a the most reliable daily drive in another 5 years but it will be as cool as an NSX is today. To me atleast. Take care of it and it will be fine. Well it will still be cool aslong as honda kills off the s2000 and doesn't make a entirely new s2000 to make the current one look dated.

Emily, whether the car will be or not is debatable, I guess, but one thing is for certain...YOU will still be cool in 10 years!
Anyway, as to the car, I think it probably has what it takes to be cool 10 years (or even more) from now. Granted, it won't be the cutting edge anymore, but it will still be significant as a pretty pure sports car.

I've had mine for 4 1/2 yrs now, and can easily envision having it for another 6, so yeah, 10 yrs seems doable. This car, at least in my eyes, has classic lines and a timeless appeal. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it.

thanks brant i know ill be cool in 10 yrs
i have to decide if i want to sell and save for something a lot more expensive or keep it and not buy anything else for quite a while. i also have a company car so my s doesnt get driven (was a former daily driver) but maybe 2X a month sometimes not that. since it is depreciating and not being driven didnt know if it was better to sell it and buy something down the road or keep it and stay happy
oh and im 23 so i still have to think about buying a house eventually too

The s2000 has a classic "timeless" design that will never look old. It's has that classic roadster look. I'd put the BMW Z8 in the same category for a timeless design.
The 350z, rx8, etc. will look older much faster that the S will.

I agree with Jason. The RX8 doesn't look that great as the old RX7s and there will probably bee too many 350Zs out there to make it a classic (in my opinion).
