will i be impressed?
Hi S2000 owners,
Icurrently own a z3 2ltr i have had her for 2 years and have to admit that i have enjoyed every minute.
however having been int0 a honda dealer today i have convinced myself that i must have one, the car is a corker.
can anyone convince me that i will be pleased with the purchase, perhaps some of you guys/gals have been previous Z3 owners?
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks
mr T

I pitty the fool who doesn't like it. I've driven a few Z3's before, and they are great cars. The S2000 is not as luxurious as a BMW, but a specifically designed drive by the seat of your pants sports car. You won't be dissapointed.

Here is a link that was posted today in the Z3 forum by a member that tested the Boxster and S2000. http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/z3/fo...d=884496&page=1

I've also test drove both several times before purchasing the S2k, though my Z focus was on the M Roadster (240hp version) - while the M's torque is awesome, the S2k has sharper handling (tho a little firmer ride accompanies that) and better feel for the road. Also, though the bimmer interior is a little more glitzy, I prefer the S2K's dash, and frankly, I simply fit in the S much better- one example is the reach for the door handle from inside; in the Z, i have to move my arm awkwardly to access it, & in the S it falls to hand pretty much. I also greatly prefer the look of the S with the top up, as it still looks very sleek. The engine is a real kick when she's screaming, too, yet very tractable & amply torquey down low. If you're looking for speed off the line, go for the M, but if that's not your sole purpose in getting a high performance sports car, I'd have to give the nod to the S, as have all the major magazines. I also love the glass rear window & HID lights, not to mention the reliability & resale value of the Honda (tho I don't plan on trading mine in any time soon!). Good luck, but find some S2ks to test & then decide- this website is a terrific source of info, too, & was very helpful to me in my decision to trade in my 99 Trans Am on one!
