Well then, I would recommend some "normal" 6x9in component speakers installed behind the seats - in addition to the upgraded door speakers and head unit.
Great sound (because we all know the stock audio system sucks big hair monkey balls - on my '00, at least) but NOT at the expense of trunk space. You nkow you need as much cargo capacity as possible.

Bah...my amps take up too much trunk space anyway...taking away that trunk well is no big deal
I have great front components with incredible midbass (incredible) but getting the lower end of the spectrum seems like it would pull the music together nicely

bomberman, i made a mdf box the other day similar to that design, took me about 3 hours. but instead of all those joints, i just angled the box. if you are looking at the front view, it is a upside down trapezoid. the bottom of the box is 12"x12" and the top is 23x 12 ill pull out the exact measurements later and put them up for you ,. but the sides are approx. 8.75x 12 and the mounting depth is just over 7 inches. what type of sub is that ,. .i used a diamond m6d4 12. ill go take a pic and put it up

here are some quick pics, excuse the quality i had to run outside and take them in the dark with my phone. i havent had a chance to carpet it yet, but it sounds good in my opinion and comes up just below the top of the trunk well, so i am going to make a facia board with a grill cutout to go on top of that in the well and make the entire trunk flush. hope this helps some

i sealed it with silicon on the inside and liquid nails over all the seams on the outside, its air tight. i was afraid of that at first too, but the angles were easier than i expecte.
