I just recently purchased my MY00 S2000 from a Honda dealer but it was missing an antenna. It was written in the bill of sale that they would provide me with a brand new OEM antenna for the car. However, the salesman who sold me the car told me that Honda no longer makes AP1 antennas so they cannot order them and thus cannot provide me with one. I have heard from my buddy that car manufacturers are obligated to create replacement cars for any model for 10 years starting from the car's release date. This leads me to believe that since 2003 was the last year for the AP1 (released 2002) Honda should have the antenna until 2012. If anyone knows, I'd like some confirmation, and if it is not the case, will an AP2 antenna fit on an AP1? Judging from pictures I have seen, there seems to be no difference in the AP2 antennas vs the AP1's.

Well, almost the same, the AP2 antenna doesn't go all the way to 108 in the FM band, but it gets better reception from 102 and below.

 

yep..it'll fir but if you're gonna get a new one i'd say get a shorty antenna like the Agency Power...got mine from Vivid Racing and it sure gets rid of the dildo look on the quarter panel

 

I think AP2 Antenna offers 5 more whp.

AP1 and AP2 antennas are the same. When I bought my S I didn't notice my antenna till I got home, that it looked like a baby was teething on it, but a buddy of my was parting out his AP1 so I traded him straight up. No problem at all.

 

And the Evolution antenna... Evo kids steal ours all the time.
