Will a AEM V2 Intake for 2000-2003 fit a 2004?
I noticed on AEM's website they have two separate listings for the AEM v2 Intake for the S2000. There's a listing for the 2000-2003 models and a listing for the 2004 model. I also noticed that the Part #'s are the same. So I'm confused... Will the AEM v2 Intake for a 2000-2003 fit a 2004 model S2000 or should I buy the AEM v2 specifically made for the 2004 model? Is there even a difference between the two? Hope someone can help me out. Thanks

Um, not to hijack but what is the difference between the V1 and V2 intakes? Is it the foam filter to prevent hydrolock that is mid-pipe? Sorry for such a noob question.

the v1 and v2 are differently shaped for performance reasons... they have more effect at different areas on the rpm range.. if i rememebr correctly v1 was more benefitial from low-mid and v2 from mid-high ... i may have them mixed up though

Just incase anyone is interested ... I called AEM and they confirmed that the same AEM v2 CAI will fit for the 2000-2004 model S2000s. The difference I was told is that the 2004 S2000 will see less gains with the AEM v2 CAI than the 2000-2003s will see.
However, for the normal AEM "v1" CAI, the 2004 S2000 had negative gains and so AEM is re-designing a new CAI specifically for the 2004 S2000 that will produce gains.
Hope this clears up the issue for anyone else who might be interested.
