Im thinking about getting a set of Yoko A032R's for the summer. I was thinking of going to 225/50 front and 245/45 rear. Are the stock wheels wide enough to handle the increased tire width?

Anyone have yoko's on now?

You need to talk to Krazik. He got 245/45 in the rear. No problems. I don't know about the fronts. You will get a slight speedometer error as the 245/45 are usually a bit less diameter than the 225/50. At least that's the case with Bridgestones. I can't speak for Yoko's.

Toyed with this, and ended up going with stock. From what I heard, you don't notice a heck of a lot of difference in handling. However; I haven't experienced this firsthand.

....sure they will fit,but you may in fact reduce the size of your contact patch due to pinching of the tires by the too narrow rims..

Pierre

N.B. on competion tires of the same that you propose this effect(pinching) is less significant due to the stiffer sidewalls.
