For anybody who isn't a professional driver, if you really want your car to be "faster" the best bang for the buck is driving lessons and track time.

In terms of physical changes to the car, the most effective ones are track tires and track brake pads. Those will take more seconds off your lap time than anything else (including FI, because you can't use the extra speed of the FI if you can't get around the corners).

Stripping the interior is also a very inexpensive power-to-weight improvement.

If you are into magazine racing, bench racing, dyno racing, or straight-line racing, YMMV.

The gearing of the car doesn't change the power output at all, it just changes the shift points. But if that makes you happy, go for it.

The header and hondata is not installed yet. But I have I/E now and 50km/h-150km/h is 10sec with one extra person in the car.
What does the s2k do 50km/h-150kh/h in?
What year car is it? Im not sure about CTR since we dont have then in the states, but is it a K serious engine? There is a post in the sreet forum about some guy who raced one and won by a lot. Not sure about km/h, we go by mph. Whats your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times? Also the hp its putting out?

You'd be lucky to get 10whp.

When you factor in how much mods are for this car the tradeoff just isn't there IMO.

Let's say:

$800 for used Mugen header
~$200 for used AEM or around $1,000 for used Mugen intake
~$300 for used Invidia or around $1,100+ for used Amuse exhaust

You're looking at at least $1,500 to $3,000 depending which route you go for maybe 10 extra whp? If that sounds like it's worth it to you then by all means go for it.
Well I paid ~$32,000 for the original 240 HP which is about $133 per HP or $160 per WHP and $1100 for 10 WHP is only about $110 per WHP so it sounds like a better deal that I got from Honda.

Latest Road and Track Magazine stats was 13.9 sec for the quarter mile at over 100mph. 0-60mph was 5.5 seconds or less (can't remember exactly). This was for the 2005 with 2.2L U.S. engine. This in stock form is faster than your CTR.

I also agree that for most people, racing school lessons is the best investment that will make your car go faster.

Excellent point. I've been duped.

Well if you look at it that way, FI is a better value, only about $50 per additional whp.

Is that the same engine as in our RSX type S's? k20? If so they are very tunable and could be just as fast as an S with a Hondata Kpro ecu. Otherwise the S is faster and better in every performance catagory. 0-60 under 6 and 1/4 between 13.7 to 14.3 depending on driver.
Who has run a 13.7 stock? That has to be one hell of a driver on a super cold but low humidity day with all of the planets aligned... Has anyone here done it?
