Hate to derail this fascinating conversation, but has anyone tried 6000K HID bulbs in their headlights? I know Joey @ JS2K is selling them, just ordered a pair but interested to see if anyone has tried them.

Better question is.... What can one do to protect their expensive ap2 headlight from road debris? (other then regular coats of plexus)

They say they fit 2004-2009.. shouldn't they fit 00-03 as well?

They will fit, but they look like they are made for the 04-09 ballast. If you get ap2 headlights and want to keep your ap1 ballast and ignitors, you have to cut the housing to get them to fit. They will go right in if you get the ap2 ballast and ignitor.
