I completely agree with JS2k. He's not saying this just to back up his products or w/e.
I've been a member on HIDPLANET.com for over 4 years and have done a retrofit on my previous car (240sx).

The reason why some people go for the TSX's are mainly because of cost. The TSX's are cheaper in comparison to S2000s and provide almost the same amount of light.
So why did my ebay auction end with no bids with a starting bid of $100 for 2 AP1 headlights?

I agree with him to, just not to the degree that he is boasting and not about the headlights in question, no one knows if they're any good or not. You guys would all have to eat your own shorts if the ebay seller came back and said they made a perfect copy of the S2000 projectors.

Widest... since when was it good to take light from where it is needed and put it off to the sides?
So they make fog lights for no reason? Fog lights project wide and low light.
I guess you've never gone around a corner in the dark either.

Again, if the S2K projector is so good and has been the "best" for over 10 years, why arent auto manufacturers putting them in place of their projectors.
Once again, I can't answer this because I don't own or manage any automobile company.

Some guesses:
Cost?
Time?
Rate of return by having better lighting?
They don't want to?

Why doesn't Honda make a mid-engined V10 supercar that competes with a Ferrari?

Thank you.
I'm glad someone else that also is knowledgeable about projectors agrees with me.
I've been a lurker on hidplanet since around 2003.

I'd definitely buy them for $100. Just not from you though, no offense.

A set of projectors I sold:
Item recieved exactly as described. Good seller Buyer:
Member id itsrealfast ( Feedback Score Of 179Teal star icon for feedback score in between 100 to 499)
Oct-25-10 09:00
OEM Honda S2000 headlight AP2 04-09 HID projector (#160476713659) US $286.00

I quoted you specifically saying that the projectors (the aftermarket S2000 ones) were good.

I'd be glad if they made a perfect copy. That means I'd do more retrofits.

I already sold them to someone on here for $100 + shipping, point being when they were available to a much wider retrofit market, they were unwanted. Just saying.

The physics of an S2K projectors vs any other on the market on an OEM vehicle are very similar, there would likely be no additional costs in 90% of the situations where a projector is choosen. There is nothing innovative about the S2K projector design and I see no proprietary design that would limit others from copying. Its simply a matter of subjective taste. It doesnt make sense to have an even spread of light from a projector when you can design a light more user friendly that would further illuminate the portion of the road you want to see.

If you ever have a chance test drive some new vehicles. Their headlights are much better than the stock AP1s IMO.

ok jordan, you're grabbing at straws now. pretty much every post ive read from you in the past 2 pages have had some pretty bizarre comments...

for example:
Widest... since when was it good to take light from where it is needed and put it off to the sides?
im sorry if you do all of your driving in a one-lane tunnel with no hallways or stops or intersections.
