Be always found it funny when I would play a street racing game like NFS or Midnight Club that there were no S2000 to choose from. Is that because of licensing?

There are no Honda's at all in most street racing games due to the notorious reputation it got in the late 90's, early 2000's as a 'rice rocket', and numerous street racing accidents that occurred with Honda's during that time. So Honda has never lifted the restrictions since then, limiting their cars to 'serious' games such as Forza and Gran Turismo.

It's probably about marketing. Why would someone buy a game to "drive a Honda"? It probably not as big of a selling point as "driving a Ferrari" is. Most developers want to cash in and big names like Ferrari and Lamborghini will do that.
