Why the S2000

The Miata was all I needed.
It didn't come with the options I desired, in the color I wanted (and was a little too small inside for me.)
After a week on "this site" reading about the S2000, and the magazine comparisons of the S2000 with Porche/BMW/etc., this car is the best buy I could've chosen--and it came suitably equipped in the color I wanted.

Value for my dollar. I considered the TT Roadster, Boxster S, Corvette, and M Roadster. All cost more than the S. Plus, it is a Honda and rare in these parts. Oh yeah, and it is so damn much fun to drive.

I have always wanted a true sports car, and when Honda came out with the S2000, my prayers were answered.
Oh, and there are two lines: The REDline at 9000 rpm and the GREENline at 6000 rpm when the cam-timing switches to VTEC...

Comparisons have been made, eliminations applied, and after careful (prolonged) considerations of price, quality, dependability, performance, ergonomics and desirability....there can be no doubt. Even with the few glitches here and there (I believe that these will eventually be addressed and rectified by Honda) and the fact that its not the fastest car from 0 to 60 (ever see a formula 1 car at a drag strip?) this car is the one for me. It's designed for precison driving and it's performance is of a quality that it really is up to the skill of the driver as to how well the car excels in competitive situations with other (realistic) cars in its class. Hell, if price was the leading factor what other car could hope to match its attributes? AND its a convertible....Can't wait to own my newbie 2 oh oh 3.

Bang for the buck, I wanted a fun car to investigate this beautiful state I live in, Honda's reliability reputation, all the glowing reviews, the rarity of it. Basically I needed something to snap me out of the commuter doldrums and I didn't want it to be another *me-too* roadster wannabe. The S2K fit all those conditions like a glove.

Bash, if I lived in God's country with my S2000, i'd probably be in heaven right now
Unfortunately, I live in Cincinnati, OH and all I deal with is ugly scenery, lots of annoying hills, and way too many SUV's for one's own good. Not to mention all the humidity and smog we have each summer. Heck, it went upto 97 degree's today! Oh well, at least we have more power down here
