Gee, and I'm on social security. And I have a second Honda. :-(
When should I expect the statistics police?

Regarding Porsches - the factory makes more money per car sold than any other major manufacturer out there. So they probably could produce a mid $30k sports car with S2000/Boxster S performance, but why would they want to? (Possibly because their sportscar sales have been slipping a bit recently? Then again, the Cayenne has been selling like crazy, so they can probably afford to continue with their current prices.)

Honda's marketing collateral always mentions the target buyer being someone with a total household income of $100k. Not that this makes a damn bit of difference...I was just surprised at the lack of objectivity in many of the replies.
I should have been more specific in my original post. In any event, I'll continue to respect the LS1 powertrain even if the LS1 crowd doesn't offer the same towards the F20C. I'm an enthusiast of performance cars, regardless of engine displacement and brand identity.
Many thanks to those who contributed to this thread with objective comments.

Even for slightly above $20K, LS1's are dead even with such horsepower and acceleration. Wonder why! Acceleration is NOT everything everyone looks for in a car. To me, an S is a perfect combo of everything, and especially for low to mid-$30K.
