Why do you think Honda doesnt up the hp on the s2000?
Do you think its because they think the s2000 cant take more power?
Is the s2000 perfect the way it is? would more hp be more dangerous? would it mess up the perfect balance of the car?

I'm going to go cringe in the corner whilst I await rocrfella's Jesus-comment.
Though to vaguely address the question--I think Honda just tends to be conservative when it comes to altering their vehicles. Take the NSX for example.

prob cuz they dont want to spend money and dont care about competing. maybe it is "perfect" in their eyes as it is certainly fast "enough" to be supremely fun.
while this topic has ben discussed thousands of times, I would love to hear the answer from a honda engineer. tried to ask Uehara, but thought it would be disrespectful. plus he didn't speak english.

Honda themselves said the engine is maxxed out the way it is now. With such low demand for the car, the expense in upping the performance is not worth it. One thing that is for certain and always has been, if you are buying this car for the power, you are looking at the wrong car.
