Why does this happen?
I bought a s2k about a week ago and its my first stick car. I got it down packed the second day and drive it perfectly fine without stalling or anything. But when im in first gear and im punching the gas the car jumps like I hit the brake or something around 6500-7000 rpm. Not while im shifting to second. This has happened 3 times already and im getting a little worried about it. Is it me or is there something wrong with the car? Comments are appreciated~

elviscos has posted another important question. At 7000 your close to 30 mph, how fast is it slowing you down, at what point does it feel like the engine stops dragging the car down?

Now that I think about it it always happens when I start the car and and get on the road and punch it. I had no clue you were supposed to wait for 3 bars.. Could that be the reason?

That is the reason. You have to wait for the car to warm-up before you start reving that high. If you don't wait the car itself will cut you off aka "the jump" you have been feeling.

Its more like a sharp jerk and tosses you foward kinda thing.. At what point it happens..? Around the 6500-7000 rpm range like right before im about to engage the clutch and shift the 2nd.
