I got it for the looks and for the Honda reliability. Little did I know it was a major head turner and chick magnet

dkhl,

A little too well!

There was this one time I was at Barnes and Noble, and this white girl begged me for a ride and practically jumped in the car.
And whenever my friends and I go out as a group...the chicks like riding in it.

S2000 + hitting the gym to keep in shape = chick magnet.

Just got my Blk on Blk on Saturday. I bought it for it's great performance for the money. No other
car comes close. Yes great looks and some attention too. Is that bad? But I didn't buy it for the attention only. It's a fringe benefit. We all crave a little attention sometimes.

I bought this car for performance and value, plain and simple. Everything else is a bonus. Status didn't enter into it (since Hondas have none), nor did the stares of others, which I never imagined would be as much as this car gets.

So all the stares and compliments add a little fun to everything else, especially when people who don't know find out it's a Honda.

I bought this car because I've always wanted a convertible, and though it was about time that I bought one. The looks and performance were just an added bonus.

If I lived on a small island which had a 10-mile stretch of winding road as the sole means of getting from one side to the other, I would have chosen this car. Ginger and Mary Ann might be macking on me, but that would be a side benefit.

I am on my second S2000.

Why you ask? Simple. These little cars make me do this

IMO (and only my opinion) the S2000 is the screaming bargain of the sports car world (at least here in the US). The only new cars sold here in the US that have as much visceral appeal, high limits, and reliability are all much, much more expensive.

Do I love the way the car looks? Yeh. I think most of us have to feel passionate about something as emotional as a sports car purchase. I mean if you get down to it, I don't know that any of us would buy an Aztec even if it drove like the S.

I don't consider myself shallow (he kids himself) and for the most part, I couldn't give a crap less what others think. But it sure is nice that I get so many compliments on this car. (My wife to be might disagree as the car does attract a lot of attention from the ladies).

I bought my car because I enjoy the nostalgia behind the roadster (2 door, 2 passenger, front engine, rear drive, soft top, etc.) IMO, this car is faithful to the concept. Especially in classic black over red (mine). This car gives world class performance at a fraction of the price. I am also deeply Honda loyal and feel comfort in knowing that quality-wise it is built like a tank.
The looks one gets are a bonus and in this car you get plenty. I was hawked all the way to the Hamptons on Friday and back on Sunday (read: good weekend). What can I say, there is just something about this car that draws people in. I love it.

Oh yeah, I don't know what all this non-sense is about the styling, the S2000 looks friggin awesome! Its liquid motion! The proportions and stance are, again, classic roadster.

when i was shopping for a new car, i was looking for two things. performance and looks. i would guess about 60-70% performance, and 40-30% looks. i feel that the s2000 looks and performs better than anything in its class (cept say an slk amg or a porshce ) I also feel that for the $, the s2k out performs and looks better than pretty much anything (new) that is out there. Why do i value looks? maybe cuz i'm really young :] or maybe cuz i feel that a car's appearance is very important. hmm thats kinda redundant.

lets put it this way.

if the (new) toyota mr2 spyder out performed in every way/shape/form the s2k, i would still take the s2k. why? becuz the mr2 is f'ugly. ehh ill blame it on age. (this post had absolutely zero coherency, sry ;/ )
