Just wondering why the parking brake is called e-brake?

It's the 'entertainment-brake'. Pull it going really fast around a corner and you'll see why.

in all seriousness, it stands for emergency brake but most of us use it for entertainment purposes.

Because if you lose your brake system that utilizes fluids, you can always depend on the cabled "emergency brake" to be able to stop your vehicle from becoming a death dart.
