They made my Mugen shocks + a variety of engine-compartment goodies... who are they and how do they relate to Honda?

Showa is a worldwide manufacturer of automobile and motorcycle suspension (and other) parts. Honda is the number one listed customer.

From what I have heard Honda is a part-owner. Explains all of the Showa stuff on Honda bikes.

Just like computer monitors are made by only a few manufacturers, the same goes for many automotive parts...

Showa also makes the shocks that Spoon sells.
