Who Regret Selling Their S2K

I can't imagine parting with mine. Its a pure bred sports car, and sure there are faster cars out there, but many (but not all) who criticize is performance numbers have not experienced the unique joy it is to drive an S2000. Its performance and looks is so well-rounded, you just can not beat it.

I came to the S2000 a year ago after strongly considering a C5 Corvette. Three weeks ago, I purchased an automatic 2009 CTS-V, essentially a four-door Corvette, for daily driver duty. I briefly considered selling the S. However, I find that even with the brute force of a 556-hp engine available to me, the S provides a more raw sports-car experience, and the shifter is so sweet. I also see these "do you regret selling your S" threads come up fairly frequently.
I don't plan to get rid of my S except for extreme financial distress. I have the best of both worlds....gobs of torque and an engine that doesn't stop gaining even at over 100 mph, and a high-revving, super-handling little scalpel.
It's so funny I discovered the S while I was looking at a Corvette and ended up with both an S AND a four-door Corvette. I'm just happy I can afford both.

I had a 2003 NFR for about 33k miles. I decided that it was too rough and I needed 4 seats to haul people around. I sold the car for a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6. Owning the MS6 was the worst car-experience of my life; the engine blew at 12k miles. All the time I was missing my S2000 sorely.
I sold the MS6 for my 2007 BB and I will NEVER complain about the harsh ride quality again.

I had a MY04 GPW that I had for awhile; sold it to a close friend of mine. And ended up getting a 98 Integra GSR; got tired of that for awhile and got an 08 TSX, then got a 08 Civic LX.......... none of these cars brought me the joy that the S did....
now I bought back the MY04 GPW that I sold to my friend......

I have bought and sold 3 s2000's and logged well over 140K miles between them all. The funny thing is that I am looking to buy another one (hopefully an ap2 this time). A used s2k is probably the best fun for the dollar value under the sun!

When I sold my last eg hatch i swore I would never buy another FWD. I went to Iraq and i was determined to buy a sti or evo. For 6 months I debated on which one. Then I came home from my deployment and I went and test drove an 2006 STI black really nice. The first thing on my mind as I was driving it was wow these brakes are amazing! Then I went to honda and bought my AP2 like with out even thinking. Just to much Honda pride in my blood from years or civics. I love my car but damn I need a daily driver a truck or something seriously FTW
