I paid MSRP (32,000 + 415 destination charge). I also got the floor mats thrown in for free. I was lucky pretty lucky since the dealership was trying to close their quarter (Sept. 30th) and wanted to have another sale on the books. They sold the car for sticker only on that day. I was lucky enough to be told about it by Phil Salisbury, who ran a different S2K site (Thanks Phil).

I paid MSRP for the car, $32,740.00. I could take or not take any options. I got to choose color. I put a $500.00 pretty non-refundible deposit on the car in April. I paid 80% of list plus installation for my options (titanium shift, honda alarm, trunk net, passenger side pocket thing).
Paul from this board got the same deal on his MY2001 Spa Yellow coming in December.
If anyone else wants to get a deal like this, call Myrna Arnold at Valley Motor Honda in Sheridan, Wyoming. I think they expect a third allotment. They're phone number is 307-672-3492.

I too paid sticker $32,415. I chose to get floor mats and a cover at full dealer price but nobody at the dealership required any forced options. The downside was that I did have to wait over nine months for the car to come in.

I paid $1400 under MSRP @ $34,770 w/ all the options I wanted: Front & Rear Spoilers; Side Strakes; Ti-shift knob; Aeroscreen; Honda Alarm; Trunk net; Floor mats. I guess St Louis & Midwest not as great of demand on the "gem"

MSRP, picked it up last Thursday. Also bought the 7-year, 75,000 mile Honda Care extended warranty for $896, includes niceties such as roadside assistance and trip routing.
As forewarned here, the dealership didn't know squat about the car, they couldn't find the dipstick, I had to show them where it was, and, .... I drove it away for one block, pulled over on a side street, turned the wheel all the way to one side, looked at the springs, and sure enough the spacers were still in there! I drove right back to the dealership, pulled into the service bay and informed the nearest tech that the spacers were still on the springs, he said "what's that?". So anyone who is expecting imminent delivery, look for those spacers!

I paid $300 below sticker at Cambridge Honda in late July. Brand new w/ 6mi. Only options (in true sense of the word) were floormats and wheel locks for $100.

It really all depends on location!!
Here in St. Louis I paid $32,000 + $440 (for freight) + $46 (bogus "transaction" fee), and I didn't buy ANY options from the dealer!! I call that "really" MSRP for all practical purposes. Some may say I paid a $46 premium -- but that's really in the noise!!
I'm know some people claim that no one has really paid MSRP, but I beg to defer!!! It truely does depend on your location -- supply and demand isn't the same across the entire US. I guess I would have to say it also depends on how long you are willing to wait. If you are impatient you will have to pay!!

You may not believe this but it is true. I got the car the first day it went on sale in the US (Sept 17 1999) in the SF bay area with vin #175 and got it at MSRP. I know it was pure luck (and a bit of advanced planning with a guy at the dealership who stayed with the deal we had struck - unfortunately the guy does not work there anymore).
