I was fine with the carpet but when I "discovered" s2ki.com... I realized I did not prefer the carpeted console because of the lint that I have not been able to get out even after vacuuming and the red carpet looks dingy now from driving with my top down most of the time. I ordered Rick's console cover and boot back in October but still haven't installed it (lazy or do I just prefer the carpet??.)

Has anyone steam cleaned the carpeting? I'd like to remove all the carpet and get it thoroughly cleaned from all the dust/dirt, etc... I wish I had time to vacuum everyday after driving with the top down (since that's where all the dust/dirt comes from the outside) but no time...

Anyways, so do you all think I can remove all the carpeting and steam clean it? Any recommendations on type of cleaner to use on the carpet so the color won't fade or change?
