It sounds like you're in denial and suppressing rage.
I'm sorry you didn't get your S2000 for the price you would have wanted, but VTEC RACER didn't seem to have a problem. But I won't fight with you anymore. It's nonsense.

Vincent: (great name, btw)
Uh, VTEC RACER's was for an '01, not '02.
Gotta side with sosodef on this one, mate. It's probably a combination of patience and luck to get MSRP around this neck of the woods, i.e. the S.F. Bay Area.
The only reason I got mine was the guy who was on the list to get it next, and had a deposit on it, flaked out and was prepared to pay the full $39K. I got lucky the same day and bought it off the showroom floor before you could say "MSRP." I had to have this car now. People around here have the means to simply purchase any car they want. That's why BMW's are called Basic Marin Wheels.
Sosodef is correct; different markets have different circumstances. Now, if my '02 Blue Suzuka was still on the showroom floor in November, you can bet it would be less, but again, it would be lucky it if is still there, and someone would have to be a Master of Patience if they waited until November to buy one.

Got it on Nov 2nd 2001. $34700 + tax and reg. "Gotta have it now" back then. Didn't regret for paying over MSRP.
If you are buying now, you SHOULD NOT pay over MSRP!
'02 has been out for 7 months now....

Never let 'em know that you would pay A LOT more for such an amazing car.
It worked for me.
