quick question marcus, can you still use your cupholder? or at least a portion of it? my cupholder stores my house keys so if you can still open the holder then that's perfect..

any issues with your arm hitting the mute button?

the original post discussed an aricle on reviewing radar detectors. This article gave a history of radar and made statements about the law related to tickets.

What good is a radar detector if you don't know anything about police procedure? It's no good at all. But if you don't know anything, you wouldn't know that either.

This is a topic about how to avoid tickets with radar. One poster said that if they use K band instant on you are toast. That's not true. I've been responding to that post as well.

I hope I can help someone to learn to use their radar detector and knowledge of the law to avoid or get out of tickets.

Maybe you have the luxury of living some place where enforcement is not so aggressive. Where I live the highways, and local roads, are a guantlet of police.

kneeecapper, do you drive an s2000? Is the speed limit on your local highway 55, even though it's 6 lanes divided and elevated? Do you drive 55 on this road even though average traffic speeds are 75 mph?

yeah, sometimes it's hard not to speed. it's not like we are speed demons and drive crazy all the time, but when the moving traffic is going faster than speed limit or you just want to pass all the ppl going so slow, you just NEED to speed at certain time, but NOT always.

I used one/cheapo detector in my truck before coming to VA (illegal). I would get V1 and hide it as well in my S, but I'm not an expert in electronics nor do I want to spend additional cost for hiding the already $$$ V1. Tough call for us in VA.
