I actually like to hear about people who sold there S2000. I like to know why and what car is gonna replace it. I dont understand a lot of people they bitch they dont like what someones posting or they come on and say "its a re-post go use the search button" i feel like saying go f*ck yourself if you dont like what the topic is about DONT READ IT!!

It seems people regularly complain that people are posting things they shouldn't be. I agree with several replies above. No one is forcing you to read anything. If you are tired about reading about plastic window changes, ignore that post. If you want to respond, do so. I think that this is a community and interaction is the key so I don't agree with always telling people to go search things rather than giving them a link or a short answer. If someone has the answer and WANTS to give it, go ahead. If not, ignore the post and move on or go out and drive your car!

Thanks for your concern though!

WRT Vette vs. S2000 reliability, I'd no sooner trust Consumer Reports ratings on something than I'd trust my 11 year-old to drive my car. This is particularly true with sports cars, but tends to be true of products in general.
CS does generic ratings for the generic user. They would no doubt pan most high-end products whether it be audio, video, computer, automotive, or most any other line. For every product line I was knowledgeable about that CS has rated, they ridiculously oversimplified the criteria so they could come up with comparative numbers, even when the numbers became meaningless (their "accuracy" rating for loudspeakers several years ago ranked top-notch products from Polk or Boston Acoustics within a couple of percentage points of Cerwin-Vega and Pioneer products! ).
An automotive example of this is the reliability comments that the Audi TT has seen in recent years. The truth of the matter was that Audi North America performed a complete recall to address some product issues that most manufacturers would have addressed with a TSB. Audi does the right thing, and gets panned by CS for poor quality. <sigh>
Instead, I'd much rather hear enthusiasts in this forum discuss the pros and cons of various cars. Who knows? Maybe someday I'll sell the S2000 and get something else. I'd sure like to know what others were buying/considering, and why.
So please. Keep the "S2000's are perfect and anything else is unreliable trash" comments where they belong... unspoken and unwritten. (This parallels the old adage of keeping your mouth shut and allowing people to think you're an idiot instead of speaking and proving it.)

Boy is this topic getting old or what?
For all those of you who think I should shut up regarding whether this is a valid place to talk about what new car you have left your S2000 for, point taken. You have the right to rationalize your change of vehicles.
Tim you don't understand how Consumer Reports rates the reliability of automobiles. While I'm with you in that I would not trust CR's reports on some items because their testing methodology isn't always something I agree with, you simply don't see that their car reliability ratings are based on actual owner surveys and as such are a completely unbiased, straight-from-the-owner's mouth source of information. This is the information I am quoting when I say that Corvettes have reliability problems. This is fact, not opinion. When Corvette owners tell CR that they've had problems, believe it. No one is going to fill out one of those hideously long CR surveys unless they have good cause!

sorry, but anyone who quotes CR's loses credibility with me. If you don't like peopl talking about other cars on the S2000 Talk section maybe you shouldn't talk about other cars. Obviously you are a honda fan boy. I am glad you get off by blindly following one company or another....that's great...not all of us do. I for one like cars. I like sports cars. I really don't care what kind of badge it has. I agree the S2000 talk section should, for the most part be about the S2000. Posting in the S2000 talk section about why you sold the car is totally valid. You are talking about the S2000. You are talking about what you found lacking in the S2000...again completely valid.
What fun is it to be surrounded by "YES" men? The best part about a message board is hearing opinons that differ from yours. If you wanna be a honda fan-boy, then make your own message board called www.honda-fan-boyz-rulz-all.com. If you want to hear both sides of a story then read posts praising and dissing the S2000.
