Who from CA stole my Sebring/Red '02? :)
All right - 'fess up - who recently took delivery on a Sebring/Red shipped to CA from Jay Honda in Ohio? I was just there to see if they would make me a deal on the one they had (I've got one on order for March), and it was gone!
They said they just shipped it to someone in California - you lucky bugger.....
Well, I hope it went to a good home!
(No hard feelings. I only sat in it to get the feel of the red interior. )

A little too late. I did drive their Sebring/Red, since that's the color I wanted to see the most, but I already made a deal for $600 under MSRP at Jay Honda. Mentor wasn't willing to deal at all, though they were very nice, and I also had a good recommendation from a couple who bought 2 (TWO!) S2000s from them last year (oops, year before last, now).
Who was your salesman?

P.S. I'm still thinking about your shift knob - with the purchase coming just around the corner, an extra hundred bucks is hard to come by. How about if I promise to buy it later this spring???

Jay Honda has a new '01 (White/Red) that they're willing to make a deal on (see Jeff Wells), and I think Rick Case still has their Black/Black '01, but don't let them shaft you on the options. I got them down $1000 last October, but they wanted $4000 for the hard top!
Mentor Honda has a fairly recent trade on a SilverStone, I think. (see Shawn Crowe).
I haven't been to any other dealers. As far as I've seen, they're all MSRP dealers.
Good Luck!

jonas,
hi. hope i didn't snatch your car. the car was purchased at andersen honda in palo alto, ca (near stanford). i did not order it. it was just at the dealership. don't know if it had been ordered special for anyone else. it was strange tho, that the had a sebring/blk and sebring/red in stock. the plastic wrap had not been removed from interior or parts of the exterior. oh well... i know you'll love yours. lets swap stories after you get it. it is realllllly beautiful. i like the sebring way better than silverstone and the red gives you that touch of flair when you peak inside... with the top on you just get a glimpse of it with the blk roof and silver body framing it. very rich looking. i think you made the absolute choice. yellow and red are just too flashy.
