The white with red gave it that "JDMish" look to it. But they probably changed it to appeal to a "certain" group of people. I mean tan interior? This is a sports car, not a luxury car or a sports-luxury type car. It's fast and needs to look fast.

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. To all you nay sayers, I understand your point of view. I've always tended to prefer lighter colors on my cars. Living here on the Texas Gulf Coast, they tend to be cooler (temp wise) in the summer time and are generally less likely to fade over time. Of course, that's as much a matter of how well the finish has been cared for than anything else.
Personally, I've been hoping that Honda would put a lighter colored interior in the S2000 for some time and I'm glad they finally did it. Don't get me wrong, the black and red (partial or full red) interiors look great and I'd take the car with either one of them but during the aforementioned Texas summers, they'd be a guaranteed recipe for a french fried arse everytime the car was parked for more than five minutes.
The white/tan car I saw the other day was the first white S2000 I'd seen, regardless of interior color, other than in pictures. I thought it looked very classy in white. I didn't think it looked any less sporting than in any other color. It's certainly "not" a luxury car in spite of the color it's painted and didn't look like it would be any slower than a red, yellow, silver, blue, or black model. I've never quite understood that mentality. It wouldn't bother me if Honda expanded the colors the tan was available on. I think it would look great in a black, red, or yellow S2000. OTOH, it would also be nice if they offered the black interior on the white too. It would just be nice to have the options but given Honda's history on such things, I'm not holding my breath.

We all love and appreciate the S2000 here but let's get real..."fast and needs to look fast?" Fast for a Honda maybe. You obviously have allowed yourself to solely ride in Japanese make cars. Try a Z28 or a Vette if you think you know what fast is.
The white with tan is the worse color combo. I rather have any color and if that was my only choice color, I'd rather get another car.

Thanks reds2,
That looks MUCH better than I was expecting. If I make the decision to go with the S2000 in the coming weeks(I am car shopping) that will definitley be the color I am going with. That shade of tan is lighter and looks much better than the photoshopped version we saw a few months back.
