Whistling noise under acceleration -- Any ideas?
A whistling noise has developed on my 2002 S2000. It seems to happen when accelerating from a low RPM. It is not overly loud, but definately noticeable. This problem started soon after I installed an AEM intake. I have checked all of the connections that changed due to the intake, and they all look fine. Any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks

It is not a sucking noise, it is a whistle. Is that really typical? I kind of hope it is typical because then nothing is wrong. But the whistle noise is kinda annoying. Thanks.

It's harmless - just induction noise that is characteristic of the intake used. Honda went to great effort to design an airbox to "tune out" this sort of noise - notice the 3rd little chamber that comes off the chamber with the filter in it?
