Fuel economy is against my religion. I never seen 250 on full tank, even on the highway. I can barely get 200 miles to a tank. I get about 19 mpg city and highway. Performance goes Gas mileage goes

Dude.......I'd have to push it at least 50 miles to register 250 miles with one fillup. Lets see uh....190 miles per tank, 11.8 gallons upon re-fueling, that comes out to 16.1 mpg.

I had 206 with 2 bars left. I only drive about 3 min to work and by the time I get there the car just hits 3 bars for temp. I also sit in traffic a lot after work when I go out. HAWAII TRAFFIC SUCKS!!

Racer,

16MPG seems really low (even to me) mileage for street driving. Are you supercharged or non-stock geared?

If you're filling up at just one station, try another and see if what their pump is telling you is the same as the other station. It could be station #1 is ripping you off.

I sometimes get 17 mpg My S2000 is not a daily driver. I have another car that I use for daily functions. I drive the S out in the country and let her rip Speeding up and slowing down kills fuel milage. I drive above 55 mph. (actual speed undisclosed ) I belive that this car will obtain the best fuel milage when driven at a steady speed of 55-65 mph in 6th gear for a length of time. When driving in the twistys, such as hwy 1 on the Pacific coast, you do anything BUT drive at a steady rate of speed.

BTW, my car is bone stock except for the chrome valve stem caps and the brake pads and ATE brake fluid.

I hear you Racer... It still sounds low to me for street driving.

Just received Chromies from Rick's! Unfortunately, I gifted them in a gift swap last weekend. I'm such a nice guy!

That must be the cause of the low mileage. they must be at least 40 more HP

At 250 mine is on Full.

Really, I get poor gas milage so I typically am really (I mean low fuel warning) at 240 miles and likely have already filled up by 250.
