Where to mount my VAFC-II?

While we're on the subject... I've heard a little bit about the VAFC II. Can anyone tell us more about what the VAFC II can do for our rides?
Primarily, is it dynamic? That is... can you input different settings, or is it static?
I've seen the head end, and I'd be pressed as to where to mount it as well. Maybe inside the engine compartment, or in the trunk? I'd hate to put it on the dash.

Please explain more about what the VAFC does for my engine. I'm very curious. One of the drivers here in Phoenix has a VAFC and is constantly pulling away from my S at HP track events. Do you guys think it is worth extra spendage? I believe that the VAFC goes for around $400-600. Right?
BTW, I really like the mounting in the glove box.
