hmm..never thought of putting my hand there. i'll try it tomorrow

It really depends if I can open the door al the way. All the way open, I swing up and out. Look ma, no hands. But if I can only open the door to the first notch, then my elbow is on the hardtop, where it meets the body.

I just grab the top of the driver side window and use that to pull my weight out of the car.

I think I actually grab the front edge of the rear quarter to pull myself out a bit. In other words the portion directly behind the "door hole"

I actually put it on the hinge of my lambo doors cause I need to make sure I don't hit my head.
