Hi. When getting out of the car, I always put my left hand near the head rest on the seat to help myself out. I think that after time, constant pressing on this part may burst a seam or cause a rupture. If you can think about it, where do you put your left hand when helping yourself out of your S? Do you think that over time, there will be damage from the strain of constantly doing this?

I just put my left arm outside the car; unless I'm tired. Then I put my left elbow on top of the rear, right behind the door and use my arm to help my left leg leverage me out. Of course if the top is up, which rarely happens, I just use my leg.

I don't think I put my left hand anywhere. I think I just throw the left leg out and just kind of swing myself out-and-up.
