I put my remote in the map pocket on passenger side of transmission tunnel. Works fine.

clipped on the the net on the passenger side
I used to clip it on the passenger side sun visor, that really screw up the plastic on the top frame.

Piggie, I had the same problem with the curved end of my Stanley remote's metal clip scratching the plastic. I solved this by bending the clip flat and now it fits perfectly and doesn't scratch at all.

The remote has been sitting there now for 20 months straight, I always leave the Stook parked roof down and no one has ever touched it.

My remote is very small and I attached it to the underside of the dash with two-way tape. All I have to do is reach under the dash and press the button.

I clipped mine between the carpet and the centerpanel on the drivers side. Its the part that looks kinda like a speaker on the side where the radio is installed, near your lower right leg. I just reach down with my right hand and click the button. No one has ever seen it there either even tho its tan in color.

I've got two. One is an aftermarket replacement, I keep in the cup holder and the other door opener is on a keychain in my briefcase.
The aftermarket openers will work with almost any opener. Just check the application listing.
Now the Wife's Accord...It has a built in transmitter with three buttons. Two are set for our doors and the third for her brother's door. His are set the opposite. Makes it eaasier to get into each others house.

I have two remotes I carry. The go one of two places. When the top is down the fit nicely in the pocket of my jacket. Regardless of which jacket I bring with me. If the top is up then the usually go on the dash. I use a rubber lining (contact paper). I put my cell on that too. It hold and doesn't fall out.

I bought the $10 visor thingy from Target that holds 10 CD's on one side, and has a set of mesh pockets on the other side. It simply hugs the visor and the garage door remote, I put in the mesh pocket such that it's facing down at all times and the CD's are facing up. If I want to open the garage, I just reach up and squeeze. If I want a CD, I just pull the visor down and pick a CD. Works like a charm. This is SOOOOOO much better than ruining my back and diverting my attention to the center console compartment behind me to the right.
