I made a similar post "Under the Hood" and no responses were made. My valve cover has a couple of scratches, and I'd like to touch them up as I would nicks in the body paint. The body steel can rust (Iron oxide) while Aluminum corrodes (Aluminum Oxide) so it makes sense to me to touch up the paint, but Honda parts doesn't have touch up paint for the valve cover.

If the valve cover has standard Honda racing red speckle paint, I should think that someone has it available in a spray can. What if the owners who powder paint their covers with a different color want to put it back to original?

The same is true of the wheel coating. Does anyone know what coating is on the wheels? Is it just clear lacquer or a tough clear plastic finish of some sort?
