When are you taking your S2K out of winter storage?

April/May for me.
Issue is that I need to bring it home and then my TSX sits outside.
If it snows again (it snows in May every year in IL), then I'll be slightly annoyed about having to brush snow off my TSX before work.
The goal before work is to sleep until the last possible moment and then drive to work in a stressful panic with no time left for the weak. The future is now.
Plus, my garage is like 65F most of the year. Its nice to get into a warm car.
I'll wait til mid May, most likely.
If I had the S2000 here, I'd probably drive it on a dry day when the salt is all gone (washed away by rain). Roads are currently good...but there's still salty snow melt from the piles of plowed snow. So...nah.
I've had it 12 years though. So my urgency is not the same as yours.

I'm glad that someone else has the same morning routine as me.

Haha some of these responses are hilarious. Yes I am just itching to get it out - currently stored at the in laws, but debating just heading ther the next warm, dry day and bringing it back to the home front.

Depends on the in-laws. If I had been storing a car at my mother-in-law's place when she was still around then I probably would have finally gotten around to making the trip over to retrieve the car sometime in late August or September.

I have three cars (soon four) and a two car garage. I winter store my S in a barn about 15 minutes away. As soon as the salt is washed off the roads, I will wait for a nice day and drive it home to my garage and kick a daily driver out to the driveway for the season. That day usually comes late March, early April. I sure get itchy for it right about now when we get these occasional warm sunny afternoons. Sadly, we added a couple of inches of snow to the ground last night and more to come today. It will not last long though.

I do not see how likely that will happen though if you wash the car completely and rinse the bottom thoroughly immediately after the drive plus driving is on a very warm dry day with no snow on the side walk at all and with rain in the previous days that had washed all the salt away.

Fellow Minneapolis owner here. I like to wait until the roads are mostly clear of all the salt, sand and gravel that accumulates during the winter to avoid paint chips. This usually takes until early to mid May after we have had some significant rains to wash it away and traffic has had a chance to clean the roads. I also like to wait until I have a chance to get my garage floor power washed after the winter. I don't know about you guys in Minneapolis, but my garage floor is always a complete wet, muddy, sandy mess this time of year (my heated garage is actually kind of a bad thing in this regard, but still a positive overall). My other cars have WeatherTech floor mats in them. Those are obviously not an option in the S.
