When Will The S2000 Sell For Invoice?
Any guess as to when the S2000 can be had for around invoice price (in Southern CA), like most other cars? What will be the main factors for this to happen?
I think that the Mazda Miata took about 4 years after introduction to get there...

Well, all you need is to click on the MSRP dealer list

Actually, I don't mean MSRP, I mean invoice. Base invoice on a 2002 S2000 is $29,586 while MSRP is $32,840.
Since most car manufacturers offer their dealers holdbacks of about 3%, most other cars can be bought at invoice price (through fleet managers).
My question is: When this will this be the case with the S2000?
Thanks in advance.

As soon as your government enacts some proper laws forbidding dealers to sell above MSRP - just like in Oz.

Don't worry about the price of the car!!!!!
The dealer makes his real money on your trade in and financing. If someone says ya-deya I got it for MSRP....LOL and then ask did you pay cash? If they didn't then they got screwed by the dealer MSRP game......
Utah
Know before you go:
1) Financing
2) Trade in
3) Vehicle mark up
P.S. They don't want you to know this .
MSRP...ROFLMAO..again..and again....and again.

It has been done. I got my '01 back in April 2001 for $32,000 w/ outside financing, no trade in. However, he is talking about invoice. Now that is difficult especially in socal.
