many other manufacturers, I couldn't say the same thing...
As reliable as any Honda can be, there is a limit when mileage comes into effect. If he was selling it for a few thousand dollars, yes I would buy that 370k S2000, but $7000? I'd chip in a few more to get a near 200k.

You can think of the mileage as an exponential function of maintenance cost. There will be certain period of its life, even with excellent care, when mileage would become a deal breaker.

My car has 175K. It runs strong and I use it as a daily.

I went with an 06+ with about 75k on it. I knew I was going to put a lot of miles on the car and buying a lower mileage car would literally be throwing money away. If I had done that I'd probably owe $5k more than the car is currently worth. Many cars around that 80k mark are simply daily drivers, especially if you get them all stock which is what I did. Highway miles are nothing on this car, check out the 300k thread a few down from this one.

Got 112 on mine. Like new. Owner matters more than miles.

On these cars mileage doesn't really matter, it just depends on how they were driven. Good luck with getting an s2000, just make sure you get the color you really like!

This is 100% true, however, in the UK, everyone is scared of the 100k mileage on petrol cars (less on diesels) so the values plummet once they hit the 100k mark, it's sad but true.

For example, I can't say I've ever seen a 100k+ car go for more than the equivalent of $6000.

I bought my '00 5 years ago with 146k miles on it for $8k.

It's got 187k miles on it, had the head rebuilt, a few rusty bolts I've had to cut off. It's a fun project coming this winter as I redo all the bushings.
