When is good time to change oil to Synthetic?
Well, Im sure someone already asked this question before but please bare with me.
I come from German car back ground. We didn't have to change oils for 5000miles sometimes 7500miles. Now that I own S2000 I know things are different.
I would like to use Synthetic soon. When is good time to change to Synthetic oil?
Thanks in advance.

From my observations on this board and reading up on Honda's input in this matter, an "appropriate" time to switch to synthetic is no earlier than 7,500 miles and then when your car shows signs of decreased engine oil loss between oil changes.
For example, you're at 10K miles, but your car's still eating dino oil. Stick with dino oil and switch over to synethetic if and when your car stops eating oil. If your car continues to eat oil (seems like it's highly dependent on one's VTECing habits), at that juncture, you will have to decide $ynthetic or regular.
My opinion is as long as you keep the oil level up near the H mark, you're good to go. I'm sticking with Castrol GTX 10w-30 non-synthetic.
Don't wrack your brains over this matter. It's not worth it.
