Default When does Vtec REALLY start...?

Need to know exactly when vtec hits for tuning a turbo on the car. Ppl tell me that there are 2 cam profiles the first engages at 5300 then the second at 5800 ... right?
Let me know and any comments about turbo tuning .... just want to know different opinions.

Thanks

Err, the first cam profile engages from 0 revs. What cam profile do you think you are using between 0 and 5300??

FWIW, You must specify wide open throttle or there are other variables that can delay the onset of v-tec

I'm in Atlanta and mine doesn't kick in until around 6500 either...so it's not just at higher elevations...
