This morning, before starting my baby, I checked the oil level: "H" both sides. Went to work (normal driving, no VTEC for the 10 mile trip) and on my way back home, stopped at a Gas Station, filled up the tank (was almost empty), went inside to pay (with Credit Card) and before I left I remembered that my manual said "check your engine oil with each fill up". So I opened the Hood, measured, and surprise, surprise, half-way between H and L. Then checked it after parked at home for several hours and it's full again.
My question is: which should be my reference point to consider "full". Early in the morning when all the oil has set down, or post fill-up when the oil is all distributed in the engine compartments?
When you do an oil change and fill up the oil all the way up to the mark, you don't wait too long to let all the oil come down, do you guys?
What should I do? Live it like it is, at the "early morning H mark", or fill it up with oil to the "post gas fill-up H mark"? Certainly the first one sounds more reasonable to me? Any advice?

If I remember correctly, you want to check oil on a warm engine. I check mine when I get home from work. Park it in the same spot (level of spot needs to be consistent) and let it sit for a minute. Then check. Wha lha!! Just be consistent and no worries.
BTW: do a search for "oil" and you will see that oil consumption during break-in is quite expected.
